Berlin-based brewery Fuerst Wiacek teams up with UK favourites Verdant, Track, Cloudwater, Left Handed Giant and Donzoko for a flavour-packed tap takeover at RAD Beer.

Expect bold beers inspired by British slang, from crisp pilsners to juicy double IPAs. Wild Street Kitchen will also be serving up their much-loved burgers throughout the day.

Local charity Little Stars has opened its annual Santa's Little Stars campaign, which runs until 30 November. The initiative provides Christmas presents to children and pregnant women across the county who might otherwise go without.

Over the past four years, the campaign has supported 1,471 children in Shropshire. The charity works with referral partners to identify families in need and provides gifts for children aged up to 17.

Collection points for new, unwrapped toys are located at The Darwin Centre, including outside the Collective, The Entertainer and Clarks Shoes. Donations can also be dropped at the Little Stars charity shop on the lower level of The Darwin between 10am and 2pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Three well-known bands from the 1990s indie rock scene will perform at a new Loopfest venue next spring. Ash, Reef and The Bluetones Acoustic are set to play in a large marquee at The Quarry on Friday 1 May, alongside Black Country singer-songwriter Jess Silk. The big top will be situated below The Dingle and can hold up to 2,500 people.

The festival has expanded considerably since it began in 2022 with 80 performers across 17 locations. This year's event featured nearly 300 artists in 40 venues. Tickets for the Friday night show go on sale at 10am on 31 October through the Loopfest website.

The annual Christmas Charity Card Shop has opened at St Mary's Church, offering festive cards, calendars and diaries in support of 21 local charities. The shop will be open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm until Saturday 6 December.

Shrewsbury Town Council Mayor Alex Wagner visited the shop this morning to pick up his cards. All proceeds from sales go towards supporting the participating charities.
