The Coach & Horses in Shrewsbury has reopened its doors with a fresh look and new team at the helm. Serving good beer and traditional pub grub seven days a week from midday, it's well worth popping in to welcome them back to the town.

Local artist Anna Moszynska hosted a wonderful paper crafting session at Floro Lounge last Sunday, where 27 people gathered to create beautiful decorations from recycled materials. The afternoon was filled with creativity, laughter, and plenty of colourful paper flowers.

If you missed out, Anna has another festive workshop coming up on 21 December at 4pm, where you can print your own Christmas designs.

The Open Door Cinema Club has completed its first season at The Hive on Belmont, bringing cult horror classics to Shrewsbury throughout October and early November.

The club screened films including The Thing, The Lost Boys, Midsommar and more, each accompanied by themed activities, quizzes, and post-film drinks at The Nags Head.

When I visited, the community atmosphere was a real highlight, with special guests including local Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard and filmmaker Ted Bennett adding to the experience.

The club continues with a festive screening of The Muppets Christmas Carol on 14 December, and has announced plans to run throughout 2026.
