Shropshire artist, Penelope Timmis’s latest exhibition, Illuminate - a venture into colour and light, will feature an installation of 100 limited lampshades together with her Australian inspired paintings.

The event supports Shrewsbury’s Foodbank Plus and includes a mince pie and mulled wine or soft drink. You can take part solo or in a team, with prizes available on the day.

A new dog boutique, Diggidy Dogs, opens its doors on tomorrow in Shoplatch, Shrewsbury. The shop will stock everything from spa treatments and party outfits to training equipment and pawtisserie treats from Market Drayton's Life of Riley.

Opening hours are 10am-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with half-day Wednesday (10am-2pm).

A special launch event on Saturday 6th December will feature Christmas goody bags for the first 30 customers, plus festive items and a charity lucky dip supporting local rescue centres.

Steph Henson from Shropshire is behind Techtimeout Tuesday, returning on 2nd December with over 500 organisations signed up, including BAE Systems, PwC, and the NHS.

The campaign encourages a one-hour screen break to combat digital burnout, with UK adults now spending over four hours online daily. What started locally has become a nationwide movement proving Shropshire ideas can drive real change.

Sketch Club has announced three December gatherings for local artists.

The group will meet on Tuesday 2nd December at Shrewsbury Library, Saturday 13th December at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, and Wednesday 17th December at The Admiral Benbow for Christmas drinks.

All sessions are free with no booking required. Bring your art supplies and join organisers Saffron and Charlotte.
